A young woman who may be an orphan. Some years ago she managed to disguise herself as a boy and get a position as ship's boy, hoping to somehow find her father who had sailed off some years before never to be heard from in Kaitaine again. Thiator saw through her disguise, but protected her from the repercussions. Her ability to act out different roles has often been useful, but her ability to pass as a lad has been getting more tenuous lately. Thiator has been not only protecting her but helping her look for her father, but so far without success.

Amadora is a Shay, and quite short, but after a few years as a sailor, even in a "ship's boy" sort of role, she is not delicate looking. But she is a half-way competent actress, so can most likely appear reasonably civilized under casual acquaintance.
