Lord of the Greensward Estate, the current Marquis' name is Agvard, and he is a very tough customer. His father is the former Marquis, Enkar Greensward, his mother Lady Greensward. He seems derisive of his younger brother Dernal Greensward, especially regarding his choice of brides (Lady Gerunia). The Marquis' wife is Lady Alltia.

Greensward apparently has some business with Lady Anvesa. His assistant's name is Norlan. He's also probably the father of Thiator, but this has certainly never been officially recognized, and he had not paternal role in Thiator's life. In the usual style he has many and varied investments, and a large circle of clients, including a holy messenger (Thiator).

The Greenswards' most profitable business for the last century or so has been the Dye industry. They own a large facility where they dye cloth in Semms Reach.
