Disadvantages: Shamans of the Crow of the Dead are considered dead men to their tribes and families, though able to speak with the living. The Rhiani consider it taboo to touch the dead, and this prohibition extends to these Practioners, unless the person is ritually prepared and cleansed before and after. Shaman who break this prohibition are treated as walking dead, and dealt with accordingly. The taboo is especially strong in regard to pregnant women, for the Rhiani believe that even the presence of a Shaman of the Crow of the Dead will infect a pregnant woman and the child she carries with Death.
