Logrus Imprint
Summon the Logrus
Logrus Sight
Shadowwalk
Logrus Conjuration
Mold Shadow
Summon Primal Chaos
How to get It: Assay the Logrus
Prerequisites: Con 15+, Wis 15+
What's it do for me?: Activates the Blood of Chaos. Also, you need Logrus Imprint for every other Pattern Feat. There is that. By the way, assaying the Logrus can Kill You, and WILL drive you insane for a time. Anyone assaying the Logrus takes 10d10 Vitality (spread out over the entire time). The Logrus Imprint feat can be combined with the Improved Familiar feat for potent results.
Summon the Logrus
Prerequisites: Logrus Imprint, Use Logrus skill to use.
What's it do for me?: Traverse the Logrus and recover from the induced madness. Those knowledgeable about the Logrus and its inner workings are able to Summon the the Logrus, which is a shifting, angular, glowing construct invisible to the naked eye. Additionally, spells may be 'hung' (memorized) within the energy construct, allowing for additional spell capacity, at a cost. See the Power Skill "Use Logrus" for more information.
Summon Logrus feat, Use Logrus skill to use.Prerequisites:
Prerequisites: Summon Logrus feat, Shadowwalk skill to use.
What's it do for me?: This allows one who has brought the Summoned Sign to mind to manifest the power of the Logrus. Combined with Logrus Sight, the user can 'Power each step with the Logrus' to force his way along the Shadow paths, leaving behind him a path of destruction and creation. Logrus tendrils (a non-corporeal manifestation of the Logrus that takes several minutes to summon and control) can shove aside the veils between worlds, insinuate themselves into any magical "sending" and backtrack it to its origin, or cast spells along the tendrils and send them through Shadow, powered by the Logrus. The tendrils of the Logrus may not breach a Sphere (cluster of related Shadows), nor can spells powered by the Logrus.
Prerequisites: Logrus Sight feat, Shadowwalk skill to use.
What's it do for me?: A Logrus initiate can use tendrils of Logrus energy to reach into Shadow and pull out (or create) that thing which is desired. When reaching into Shadow, the Power can be made to seek (or create) a thing desired, and draw it back to the initiate. Searching in Shadow or Chaos for something with the Logrus has advantages and disadvantages. The advantage to using Logrus is that you can find generic objects quickly. Grabbing any defined object, sword, a plate of food, a lantern, anything defined in a general sense comes quickly as the Logrus finds the nearest occurrence in Shadow and snaps to it.
The more specific you get, and the further out in Shadow you are, the longer it takes the Logrus to locate something. If you are in a Medieval-type Shadow, trying to use this technique to get a specific piece of high-tech equipment will take a LONG while. In fact, if the character is currently within a Sphere where such an object does not exist, then the item can NOT be found, though this will not stop the tendrils from continuing to search...
Prerequisites: Logrus Sight feat, Manipulate Shadow skill to use.
What's it do for me?: Using the Logrus, and the Chaos resident in any Shadow, it is possible to manipulate the structure of that Shadow, altering it to fit your wishes. In this way, for example, the physical laws of the Shadow, or the form of its inhabitants, or any simple detail, will be changed. It takes about as long as it takes Pattern initiates to Shift Shadow. Eventually, if not tended, the Shadow will drift back to its original form. The closer to Primal Chaos, the easier a Shadow is to manipulate, and Shadows near other Primal Realms. Those of the Courts of Chaos may find a suitable Shadow, and then manipulate it to perfection. Since Shadows modified with Shadow Molding have a tendency to lose their form and start continually changing (i.e.: weaken), which is the normal way of Chaos Shadows, most Logrus Masters settle on a particular domain as home, called a Way (This naming can take one of two forms, either the character's first name is included, i.e. Mandorways, or, more commonly, the family name, such as the Ways Of Sawall). It is then shaped and maintained with a combination of Logrus, Magic, and powerful Chaos creature servants. While the personal realms of Shadow will, with precautions in place, survive a long absence, very few Chaos Lords ever maintain more than one personal realm at a time.
Prerequisites: Logrus Sight feat, Manipulate Reality skill to use.
What's it do for me?: Primal Chaos, a force in direct connection with the untamed Chaos at the remote center of the Courts, will bring total destruction to whatever Shadow it occupies. Once summoned it must be dispelled quickly, or it will run amuck, eventually absorbing the entire Shadow back into nothingness. When it is summoned, the tendrils of the Logrus are used to keep it in check and contain its area to a small, controllable force. While in this condition it can be moved with the the Logrus to selected areas, utterly destroying everything of Shadow substance it contacts. This is extremely taxing on the character (exhausting). Only characters with a 4 or better in both Earth and Air can hope to contain the Chaos, once summoned, and higher ranks are required if the control extends for more than a few minutes. After this time, the Logrus Master must either attempt to dispel it (using the Logrus tendrils to snuff it out) or release it. Once released, unless halted by some force, Primal Chaos will destroy the entire Shadow where it was summoned.
