Lady Margery Savonne is the very wealthy widow, the late lord of Karelo. The family retains substantial feudal land holdings in the north, now governed by her late husband's half-brother, Tarvixio. Margery herself has no interest in politics or administration, and much prefers the active social life of the city. She shares the family's city estate with her younger daughter Donia and a host of servants; her elder daughter, Karia, is a priestess of Eollana.
