The essence of the entire world of Kulthea is influenced by it's sun and by the stars that shine down on it (but the reverse is not true). As such these bodies are like giant minds that generate their own Mind Worlds that interact with each other mind by the patterns of the stars. The Essence Worlds that reflect this mental interaction as influenced by the stars is the star world. The godess Valris and some of the other gods have connected strongly with this world, making it partially one of the God Worlds.
