There are, generally speaking, two sorts of dieties in Shadow World that are worshipped by theistic religions: Global and local. Global dieties are those that have their homes on two on the moons that circle Kulthea, and who's influence seems to be able to reach anywhere. Local gods, on the other hand, are restricted in terms of their areas of influence, their powers seeming to wane as one gets farther from them. Theologians debate whether or not these beings might not simply be great spirits that have taken up the mantle of godhood, or whether they truely represent beings like those of the moons. In any case, beyond the waning of their power past a certain point, mechanically the powers of a local god work precisely like those of the global gods.

Otherworld

Whatever their source, the otherworlds of both global and local gods are planes that are representative of their homes in the real world in hyper-realistic ways. Going to, say, the otherworld of a Lord of Orhan will, for example, bring you to a majestic abode that will seem to be on the surface of Orhan looking down on the surface of Kulthea. Going to that otherworld at a place associated with a local volcano god will bring one to the base of what seems to be an impossibly large volcano.

Global Gods

The two global pantheons are so widely worshipped that individual gods tend to have their own entire religions in places. Sometimes these involve worshipping only that god, and other times they involved a pantheon that revolves around that single god.
