MOUNT
Quinn owns small herds of exrtraordinary horses in three different shadows. They are large
grays bred for endurance (Amber stamina), (double) speed, and psychic resistance to
Hellrides. They resemble the horses in Ming Chinese paintings, not very pretty by western
standards, feisty and vigorous and trained for basic combat.
DEVIL'S ADVOCATE
Quinn has an air of aristocratic or cultural superiority that he - tries - to control, or
at least conceal. Quinn is almost always immaculate, via Pattern or magic.
BANDIT
Kill him and all his gang efficiently, and disappear the bodies. No survivors and no
bodies means no fallout for the family. Julian taught me how to deal with predators: no
messing around. I
AT TEN
Quinn was seldom around other children as a child. Children of his mother's people seldom
are. Life on the yacht or the various stops was mostly fun and engaging, full of sailing,
fishing, hunting, learning new places and people and languages. Quinn was the boss' kid
but biddable unless he found something that really caught his interest. He would
stubbornly persue a new fascination until -he- was done with it.
BANDIT EXILE
Something along the lines of selling him into slavery in some Iron Age silver mine.
WILD WEST
Quinn would probably be a prosperous rancher in the California high country. He has a hard
time resisting the urge to acquire power and influence. His attire would suit the role and
leave out his usual supernatural spiffiness. On a shorter vacation he would go the
hedonistic route of the dandy Gambler.
SWASHBUCKLER
Quinn -has- done that, in Fifth Age Gondor. He is Quentin the mysterious and powerful
not-entirely-human mage who is partner with the Prince in otherworldly maritime ventures.
He has a title (baron), a palace on the bay, a small but deadly personal guard and a
reputation for generosity and inexplicable appearances and absences. Rumors say he ended
the scary epidemic some years back. He and his ships are hell on pirates. He dresses there
as in Amber. When he is there for half a year or more he usually takes a mistress, a
courtesan of serious accomplishments and wit, who leaves the relationship richer and
strangely rejuvenated.
SUITE
Home is a high tech dome with its own grove and brook, variable architecture and
ultracomfortable body-conforming furniture. Decor is largely virtual and changed at whim
to any of a dozen regular confugurations. Quinn's reading list is enormous, much of it
technical (medical, thaumaturgic, economic, botanical, linguistic ... ) but with tons of
poetry (primarily the sort one declaims), literature, biographies and histories from all
over Shadow.
SELF-IMPROVEMENT
"Ten Steps to a New Love Life." Quinn is slowly becomming dissatisfied with
dalliances and affairs.
TEACH
"Organizing Your Life"
SERVANTS
Quinn has Staff, servants and even slaves in his various holdings. I'll have to work them
up.
ITEM
Quinn values the symbolic crystal wand that signifies his Mastery of Sorcery, given to him
by his slave-driving teacher. (Mom) It is a token of independence and earned respect.
BEAST
A brollochan. It is huge (over a tonne) and can become liquid or gaseous until it envelops
its target, solidifies and kills by choking and crushing. The corpse is squishy.
VOICE
Quinn tries to consider his words and is careful to be polite. He is a consummate linguist
and can say "Oh Shit!" in over fifty tongues.
TOUGHIE
Quinn was left out because he never met Corwyn or even saw him alive. Quinn had visited
Amber only a few times and that attired as one of Julian's squires.
