"I believed, when I was on the top of the
castle yesterday, holding the Jewel of Judgement, that I was the most powerful being
alive... I was fucking wrong." -Quinn
Height: 6'4" Build: Slim Hair: Dark Blonde Eyes: Grey
Clothing colors/style: Quinn's colors are white, gray and green, his personal symbol a swooping osprey in silver/gray on green.
Description: Six-foot-four, lean, way too handsome, with slightly Eurasian (i.e. Finnish) features, lightly tanned skin, intense dark-gray eyes, semi-metallic bronze hair worn long, clean shaven, little body hair, dancer graceful with a fine, trained voice. (His maternal kin would describe him as a little short, not bad looking for a half-breed, with casual manners.)
Quinn believes in doing well by doing good and in never doing for yourself what you can con an expert into doing for you. Unfortunately, much of the time he is the expert now, and the notion is catching on.
True Age: Around 250, making him one of the oldest of his generation.

Notes on Background and Ally Evolution
When I first talked to Doyce about the Heaven and Earth campaign, he was playing the Middle Earth CCG, and re-reading lots of Tolkien work. Talking to him about it got me re-interested in the Tolkien elf mythos. My initial image of 'Mom' was of Galadriel as a biker chick -- 8000 years of elvish propriety get to you after a while. I envisioned Endor and Aman (Valinor) as Primal Planes with good connections to each other. Nothing much happens in Aman because the Valar (an outlawed House of Chaos?) like it that way. Galadriel and her fellow Endor veterans are used to a lot more action and the Valar, Maiar and 'good' (non-rebel) Elves treat them like they don't smell right. Julian and Galadriel just 'got together' for a couple hundred years when they met in Arden.
I figured Mom would be a moderately effective sorceress and nice background color, even though Doyce didn't buy the biker chick thing.
Then Doyce came up with his Elemental Patterns plotline and the Eldar race became exiles from lost proto-Tir-na Nog'th. Doyce resisted using more Tolkienian names for a while, but eventually gave in to the Lure of Expedience, so that Eldar NPC's turned out to be people like my 'nephews' Elladan and Elrohir. And Mom (used in-game early on only to help accelerate Julian's healing) suddenly was 'revealed' to be Fiona's peer/rival. (And Julian became The Man.) Artanis was around back when Dworkin visited the various Patterns prior to being seduced/tricked/aided by the Unicorn, so Mom is OLD. Tall, too: six-eight and so stunning she stops traffic at a hundred yards.
Miriel came about because Doyce said early on that Quinn had some Trumps for the King of Annarth in Endor (Aragorn's grandson or great grandson; Annarth = 'great-realm') and others. Hence, there was at least one full-on Trump Artist there; who would it be? One of Arwen's descendants (who was Quinn's niece's, technically), I decided. So I made up his great-great-great-great grandniece Miriel. Then we needed Trumps, lots of Trumps, and Quinn wanted his own supply source, so he bribed Miriel to come work for him. The Primal Pattern broke and 'pure' Trumps became especially valuable just as our Trump-god Theseus' player Ray moved to the East Coast (and NPC Theseus became very busy in the Tir), which just made Miriel that much more important. She was more interesting as Quinn's daughter, so, retroactively, she became both that and gggggniece.
