The Arch-duke's heir is Leonardo Soranzo, a bright young man who is beloved by the populace, but has no interest in matters of state or governance. He spends his time partying, hunting, and fraternizing with all levels of Petrana's society. His entourage includes nobility, sons and daughters of the Guild families, and even one or two commoners who have caught his fancy.
