Description: In Kaitaine at least, a holy warrior, chosen by their deity as an upholder of the law, defender of the innocent, and crusader against Evil. In general, it is the deities with martial or leadership tendencies that have Paladins, but it is theoretically possible for any deity to create one. No-one choses to be a paladin, and they are not appointed or made by humans. They are always Devotees, and are often granted divine companions.

In Kaitaine, any citizen will recognise a Paladin and respect them for what they are, whether this means obeying and helping them, or running away rapidly. The secular law-enforcement authorities prefer to work with them rather than against them.

Magical As well as being an occupation, "Paladin" is also a sub-cult, shared between many other cults. When it is treated like this, the affinity it provides is simply called "Paladin". Feats - some of the above skills? "Aura of Light"
