A Homeland Keyword represents the baseline skills, abilities, relationships, and religious exposure that a typical (albeit youthful) member of that society would have accumulated during their lifetime.

Most Homeland Keywords are specific to the setting being used for the campaign. The Heroquest book has several, for example, and more can be found in our campaign-specific pages (always under development).

That said, certain 'generic' keywords work reasonably well in any setting.

Generic Homeland Keywords

• Centaur Homeland
• Feudal Homeland
• Independent City Homeland

If your strapped for a Homeland Keyword, the Homelands listed in the HQ book can provide most of the 'standard' historical/fantasy homeland tropes needed, once you file off the serial numbers.
