Church-funded and -controlled Schools of Wizardry are no more religious than a church-funded medieval University (in which, one hopes, knowledge was still the goal). In all honesty, the only difference between Sorcery and Wizardry is where the funding and control comes from. All of the rules and requirements for an Academy of Wizardry applies equally to a School of Sorcery (minus Church-approved morals).

The term Academy is often used somewhat interchangeably with School, but in a technical sense often refers to a single site of study associated along with other Academies to a larger School (or is that backwards?).
