White-haired although on in his mid-forties, Esteban is a skilled sorcerer who has made something of a life's work out of earning the right to become an anchor to one of the Nobilis. After studying all of the (few, misleading) texts on the subjects, he set about gaining the attention of a Power that was notable for his longevity and which no records indicated had ever taken an Anchor: Terminus Ex Deus.

Knowing that the Noble must feel strongly toward the Anchor and seeing no way to gain the affection of the Power of Death, Esteban set out to destroy those things which the Power of Death held dear and nettling him in the process, thus earning his enmity and (hopefully) making the Power curious enough that he would let him speak before he was destroyed.

His plan worked, and while he has found Terminus a demanding and harsh master, he has already gained much in the way of knowledge during his time of service.
