The war against the Excrucians; the "great war".

So just what is the Valde Bellum?

• The Valde Bellum is like a Revolutionary War: The theaters and lines of war are difficult to identify, and it's difficult to even identify the enemy.
• The Valde Bellum is a Propaganda War: The targets of this conflict are the "hearts and minds" of Creation.
• The Valde Bellum can often seem to be a 'Cold War' with little or no direct fighting between the forces of Creation and the Excrucians but lots of spying, espionage, and even arms escalation.

The honest truth about this war is that there is that there is often no clear way to distinguish either friends or foes from the rest of Creation. Power is massive, but mostly withheld for fear of compromising the secrecy of active soldiers -- but it gets even worse, you often cannot easily tell, especially miraculously, who-is-who.. Victory is often determined by who discovers their enemy first, since overpowering force can quickly be brought to bear on an exposed actor. There will be few open battles and many secret ones where oftentimes the issues and the forces arrayed will be confusing and occulted.

So How is the war going for the forces of Creation?

Well that depends on who you listen to. Many in the Society Of Flowers would tell you that things are unclear with each side winning some battles and losing others. Both the forces of Creation and the Excrucians have reserves available, and several different strategies in play.

But that is not the only, or even the prevailing view.
