A Spawning demon takes Lethal damage (Test Demon's Power vs. Demon's Stamina for total victories), with the usual penalties for damage (pp. 107)

Spawning demon may produce Spawn whose total Power scores are equal to or less than its own with a single use of the Power -- you don't have to use Spawn for each spawned demon until you finally max out your "Spawn Pool".
