The erasure of a period of about 500 years happend a little over one hundred years ago when human history was set back en masse by a rogue Imperator. One day it was the year 2400, and space-ships plied the aetheric currents between earth and the colony worlds. The next day it was 1900 again, and the world, the history books and all (well, enough) mortal memory had been changed so that it seemed normal for it to be 1900. Naturally, what has happened since then has not conformed to what happened between 1900 and 2000 the first time around.
