The phenomenon of Aether-assisted travel meant many of the wonders of the Aetheric Domain became visible to those choosing to employ such means of travel, and among the greater of these was the spectacular Hadris Migration. Many scholars have debated as to whether it was the greatest recurring spectacle – others have offerred the Xoran Elevation? as a greater lost wonder, but even the debaters have conceded that it was indeed a sight to behold.

The Hadris were pseudo-two-dimensional Aetheric beings (as the Aetheric Domain's "dimensions" where somewhat unlike those of "normal" space), who would travel through the solar system on their way to destinations unknown (the Aetheric Domain had several unfortunate properties, not least of which being that the Aetheric Domain held many “shortcuts” to other spatial locations that could not be reached from Earth’s “normal” spatial reference). This would happen almost like clockwork every 5.6 years, during which the entirety of the Aetheric Domain of and surrounding earth would light up with these incredible creatures.

The Hadris themselves looked nothing more than a flat plane filled with ever-morphing light, but this was the secret of their great wonder. As they moved through the Aether, the Hadris would begin “spinning” on one axis and synchronising their light-patterns. As such, the entire “herd” of Hadris would light up in a synchronised pattern stretching from one side of the solar system to the other, allowing anyone travelling on an Aetheric vessel to view the spectacle. How precisely they managed to achieve this spectacular synchronicity was never discovered before the Rollback.

My personal opinion was that the best place to view the Hadris Migration was from just above the Rings of Saturn?. Not only could one view their spectacular patterns in the Aetheric Domain, but one could also watch the Rings themselves react in both the Aether and in normal space. The Hadris Migration is truly among the greatest losses of the Loss.
