Visualizing the aetheric domain was difficult for the Ages of Creation that when it existed, because it was distinct and not within the physical universe and not really within the Spirit World. Today, with the Excruciation of Ether? it is even harder to fathom.

The aetheric domain can be thought of as in a dimension zero, not in the 3-dimensional universe. As it was the medium of light and heat radiation, it was possible to see and feel its operations, and as the medium of gravitation, to feel its effects.

The physical universe of the Earth neighborhood drew most of its definition from the the aetheric domain. From the aether's substance and energy it drew, and so coalesced the wave bases of particles. And in drawing down from the aether, particles created the density and pressure gradients in the surrounding aether that was responsible for gravitation. The aetheric domain, however, existed by itself even if it was not supported any physical universe. These pockets where just an ongoing expanse of the aetheric substance at its highest uniform density and maximum energy level. In supporting reality, particles coalesced some of that substance and energy. Thus providing a basis for the conversions possible between matter and energy.

The Miraculous observer will now ask what the difference between the aetheric domain and the Spirit World. In many ways they were similar. For those who follow theories of emanations the aetheric domain was the state between the potentiality of the spirit world and the actuality of the physical realms.

To think of creation as "filled with aether" tends to render the aether as subservient medium, and it was not. The aetheric energy, density, and pressure were affected by the aether's support of the material of the physical universe. The basic effect was to reduce those values the most where they are close to a massive body being supported by the aether.

The aether was movable enough to transmit longitudinal waves, and rigid enough to transmit transverse waves. Light bent around massive bodies due to the surrounding density gradients. Density, energy, and pressure values in the aether were not absolute characteristics of the aether and were the variables that are affected and whose effects were seen in the physical. The aether did not move to adjust its gradient values in the drawdowns to zero.

The aetheric continuum was only made a possible target by the Excrucians after the actions of that rogue Imperator that resulted in the great rollback. While some hold that the excruciation caused the great rollback, evidence and eye-witness accounts are unanimous in supporting the view that it was the loss of the technologies and the travels through the aetheric domain, thus causing a strange “blip” in its fabric that allowed the Excrucians to make their devastating attack, and turned [Einstein] from great Aetheric-mind to the hack he was in the current history.

The loss of the Estate Of Ether? has led to problems in human perception and in reality that both {{Prosaic Earth}} and many Imperators have struggled to provide answers for. The difficulties posed by the lack of an easy answer to “Action-At-A-Distance” has created a whole host of incomplete solutions offered by the theories of fields and field effects have led to bizarre proposals like particle exchange.

One of the greatest attainments of humanity was their discovery in the original 20th century that aetheric pressure gradients were responsible for gravitational force, thus providing a mechanism for spacecraft propulsion between worlds. A simple reduction in the aetheric density and pressure above the bulk of the craft would neutralize the gradient from the earth. The ongoing process would need to direct the resulting particles or radiance away from the craft, probably downward.

The absorbed aether would be subtracted from that above the bulk of the craft, resulting in less density and pressure, reducing the gradient to zero and neutralizing the earth's gravitational force and to travel the aetheric domain that flows between the worlds of the {{World Ash}}. Mourn those who never will see the glories of these crafts.

The aetheric domain, like most all else on the {{World Ash}} was home to life. These creatures interacted with the aetheric craft and some had built entire civilizations in the space between the fruit of the Ash. Mourn especially those who will never see the grand {{Hadris migration}}.
