Sure, I'll tell you what happened. What's it matter now, eh? Most accounts, what few there are, say that the Four killed her. It would be more accurate to say that Lord Entropy killed her. It would be most accurate to say that I killed her. Back in the first 1917 The Four decided they'd had enough of her mewling and they sent me in with the Zeitgeist. I don't believe in such a thing as an ultimate weapon but the Zeitgeist was nearly enough to make me change my position on that. It was...it was amazing. Words nearly fail me. The rollback has made it nearly impossible to recreate which, if you ask me, is one of the main reasons They did it in the first place. The Four realized that in the wrong hands it could wreak untold devestation upon Their carefully-laid plans. Even before the First 500 Years got erased They only used the thing that one time. The Zeitgeist was memetic science? on an absurd scale. It destroyed all the memes in a target area and replaced them with whatever you wanted. You had to be careful with it since leaving key memes out of the mix left holes in the fabric of reality which could get filled in with some disturbing things. This is all theoretical, of course, but Turing's? papers bear it out if you know what to look for. Anyway, I was tapped for the mission because I was the only one who had completed the training without ending up babbling to myself or on top of a water tower with a high-powered rifle. Even so, the hallucinations still hit me every now and then. I was wisely not entrusted with setting the weapon. One of Entropy's mystical goons took care of that. The execution was anticlimactic and you know the results but it's a shame we'll never see its like again. That was a fine piece of work, that was.
