Before the cataclysm obliterated the classical Zaru culture, the Lake Temple was known as the Garden of Love's Sweet Fruit. The libidinal energy of the place was cathected into a strange, supernatural beast that protected the Garden Temple from those with corrupted hearts.

During the Great Destruction the Temple sank into the swamps, the Zaru scattered, and the Ammenites began their cultural genocide. The fabulous beast went into dormancy in the fetid swamp for three centuries, and became a twisted, monstrous thing. When Chenard staged his sacrilegious wedding ritual, the Lurker began to stir... It would arise and wreak vengeance on all the Ammeni who defiled that place.

But we never got to see this thing in play! So I don't know what it looks like, or what it does, but I intended it to be scary as hell.
