This is a straightforward D&D conversion; not entirely completed - feel free to add stuff or tinker.

Races

Dwarf Package

  • Secret of Darkvision: You can see in the dark up to sixty feet. Darkvision is black and white only, but otherwise is just like normal vision. Lightsources do not interfere with the ability to use Darkvision.

Elf Package

  • Secret of Low-Light Vision: Your character is gifted with excellent night vision. You can never receive any penalties for low-light conditions and can see under the moon as if it were daylight.

Gnome Package

  • Secret of Gnome Size: Being a Gnome, your character is smaller than most people in the world, and can use that to her advantage in combat. Gain a bonus die any time your character is avoiding an attack from someone larger than her or any other situation in which her reduced size may help (i.e. an Athletics ability check to wriggle through a pipe.)
  • Secret of Low-Light Vision: Your character is gifted with excellent night vision. You can never receive any penalties for low-light conditions and can see under the moon as if it were daylight.

Halfing Package

  • Secret of Halfing Size: Being a Halfling, your character is smaller than most people in the world, and can use that to her advantage in combat. Gain a bonus die any time your character is avoiding an attack from someone larger than her or any other situation in which her reduced size may help (i.e. an Athletics ability check to wriggle through a pipe.)

Half-Orc Package

  • Secret of Darkvision: You can see in the dark up to sixty feet. Darkvision is black and white only, but otherwise is just like normal vision. Lightsources do not interfere with the ability to use Darkvision.
  • Secret of the Iron Stomach. Your character has great ability to consume things that would otherwise harm her. Gain one bonus die to resist any poison or drug taken orally, or to resist the effects of spoiled, overly spiced, or otherwise harmful foods.

Half-Elf Package

  • Secret of Low-Light Vision: Your character is gifted with excellent night vision. You can never receive any penalties for low-light conditions and can see under the moon as if it were daylight.

Class Packages

The following secrets and keys will help you represent that class within the Shadow of Yesterday system thematically in the game. There's no class system in the Shadow of Yesterday - you can pick whatever stuff you like, but these guidelines may be of interest.

Artificer

  • Appropriate Secrets: Secret of Imbuement, Secret of Quality Construction (Craft Ability), Secret of Scribing

Barbarian

  • Appropriate Secrets: Secret of Evaluate, Secret of Knock-back, Secret of Mighty Blow, Secret of Shattering, Secret of the Signature Weapon
  • Appropriate Keys: Key of Bloodlust, Key of the Masochist,

Bard

  • Appropriate Secrets: Secret of Contacts, Secret of Inner Meaning, Secret of Languages, Secret of Scribing, Secret of Speciality (Skill), Secret of the Perfect Chord, Joy/Sorrow/Sleep (in Khale Cultural Secrets list)
  • Appropriate Keys: Key of Unrequited Love

Cleric

  • Appropriate Secrets: Secret of Blessing, Three-Corner Magic secrets

Druid

  • Appropriate Secrets: Secret of Animal Speech, Secret of Herbal Health, Secret of the Unwalked Path, Secret of [Terrain] Lore (as Secret of Terrain Lore in Zaru Cultural Secrets list, but modify for desired terrain), Secret of the Forest’s Embrace (in Khale Cultural Secrets list)

Fighter

  • Appropriate Secrets: Secret of Disarm, Secret of Evaluate, Secret of Knock-back, Secret of Mighty Blow, Secret of Shattering, Secret of the Signature Weapon
  • Appropriate Keys: Key of Bloodlust, Key of the Masochist

Monk

  • Appropriate Secrets: Secret of the Bodhisavatta, Secret of Disarm, Secret of Flying Leap, Secret of Knock-back, Secret of Body Weaponry (in Goblin secrets list), Secret of Kinetic Redirection and Secret of Constant Motion (in Zaru Cultural Secrets list)

Paladin
