The Summartl School is located at their campus in Southport, and has no other locations anywhere. The school traces it's origins back to before the founding of the Five Nations, to the time of a group of wizards refered to as the Sumartl Circle?. These wizards first noted that certain spells had a connection to a place they called The Inner Eye. By further examining this mystical place (perhaps actually a rune of perception?), they found that they could come up with many spells simply by exploring their connection to it.

These observations are recorded in the schools primary text entitled Sumartl Work. Generally the spells of this book allow one to pry into the perceptions of others, and alter them in subtle ways. This learning lays the groundwork for most of the other grimoires written afterwards by school members, most importantly, Nuhartal's Canvases. This is also core learning for members of the school, and to understand it, members are all taught to paint.

It is said of those who come from the school that the most talented are those that have an innate sense for painting, or learn that art well. But also that the most dangerous members of the school are those who spend their time on the school's other major passtime, which is meddling in the politics of Southport. Long has the council employed members from the school, because of the ability of it's adepts to detect illusions and deceptions.

And they're also a hoot at council functions. Nobody can put on a light show like a Sumartl adept.

Talismans: Talismans are ornate broaches with the specific detail empowering certain areas of spells. When the wizard adds more knowledge, the broach gets bigger and more ornate.

Other Side: The members of the school speak of connecting to the realm of the inner eye - understanding the various ways in which it is connected is how one learns to manipulate perceptions.

Disadvantages: The school is highly political, and people know that the members all tend to be devious schemers.
