At the end of Appian Session Two, we were at a cliffhanger with no issues resolved which, per the rules, is actually a legitimate time to end the chapter and start a new one.

At the end of that session, we had:

Cupix, who decided not to attack Kurgen the Wizard in favor of saving Chiella from the Bees. Ursula, who was left alone with a very angry Kurgen, who had just struck her. Chiella, who has been driven back from the Bee's meadow -- they are very angry and very unwilling to allow her to influence them again... their strong opposition leaves her confused and wondering what happened to cause such a powerful rebellion in them.

Given these mysteries, we decide to do a flashback to events in the past. De is on the top of the We Owe list (Kate is on the list as well, and Lee isn't), so she gets to choose the Oracle.

She decides, since this is in the past, to go with The Unquiet Past Oracle. She picks one oracle specifically, and we draw randomly for the other three and get:

• 4 of Diamonds: the Soul of a dead wizard, seeking advantageous rebirth.
• Jack of Spades: A knowledge-mad sorceress, delving into ancient secrets.
• Queen of Diamonds: The fey and unfriendly guardians of an enchanted glade.
• 3 of Hearts: The guardian of a tomb, a statue cast in silver, with ruby eyes.

Explicit and implied characters include:

• The dead wizard.
• Whom- or whatever the dead wizard is trying to be reborn into.
• A knowledge-mad sorceress
• Any fey and unfriendly guardians of the glade that people fell like detailing
• The tomb guardian

De's character Chiella is in the story. Lee and Kate haven't decided who they're playing yet.
