Practiced in some form by most of the people of the city state of Ehrdul, the followers of Chrenolis follow two patterns. Chrenolis is a god that created what the Ehrdul call Urutu or the force underlying everything that can be manipulated to perform magic. This further caused the creation of several powerful magical beings of Urutu. It is not right to directly worship these beings, but instead all worship is to Chrenolis. The beings, on the other hand, are studied for the magics that they provide using relatively clinical techniques. The priests that worship Chrenolis through the study of the Urutu beings are called Magi. The Magi do not preach (generally), and spend their time learning magic from the many books that are written about each Urutu. This functions as Wizardry, the study of each Urutu being a school in which characters are adepts. Chrenolis is a member of a larger pantheon, however, that includes a number of lesser gods. These gods are worshipped in the normal theist way, though few of them have sub-cults, and none of them have more than one aspect. As great god of the pantheon, the Urutu are, essentially, the aspects of Chrenolis. Even the magi worship the rest of the pantheon, though few of them have the time or ability to initiate in any of these cults and still study the magic of the Urutu. Homeland: Ehrdul Other Side: Chrenolis and the other gods of the pantheon live in the God World, outside of his palace of light. But the Urutu beings exist inside the plane of Urutu that exists behind the mundane world. There is a door inside the palace of Chrenolis that leads from one to the other world.
