BACKGROUND: Why is the character a Ronin? Why does the character need the money from this deal?

My name is Saito Natsuyo. My father was once a samurai in the Emperor's army. During a great battle he was severely wounded and was unable to continue to fight.

To continue the family's honorable service, my brother (who's name will no longer be spoken) took up service as a Samurai. He was one of the best and fought in many battles for the Emperor.

But that would soon fall apart. My brother wanted a quick way to fame and glory. He made a pact with the Witch and betrayed and killed the Emperor. Now my family is dishonored. My father hangs his head in shame in public.

I could not stand this.

In order to restore my family's honor I became ronin and trained as a samurai. I have fought in many small battles and I have also traveled in secret with many entertainers and learned some of their skills. All of this I have done in order that I may seek out my brother and destroy him so that my father may not hang his head in shame any longer.

My brother has now fallen to a new low. Knowing that I seek vengence for my family, he has kidnapped my little sister, Niikio. He has actually dared to ask for ransom, hidden away behind the veil of the Witch's magic from those who would kill him.

I am on this quest to kill the Witch so that I can face my brother and kill him once and for all.
