Hear then, one and all, of the tale of Augustine "A.C." Casey, Chronicler of Marvels

"I never met a story that wasn't wondrous, exciting, or emblematic of the soaring spirit of adventure!"

While many mortals are still familiar with "A.C." Casey's rich and well-modulated voice from his radio broadcasts in the 20s and 30s ("Mystery Adventure Theater," "Red Indian Tobacco Presents: Jungle Tales," "Journey to Mars!"), others remember him for his pulp fiction of the same era.

What few -- save a trusted band of associates -- know is that "A.C." Casey is the Baronet of Marvels. Well, he does have "Chronicler of Marvels" on his business card, and prefers that title, but, then, who wouldn't? While having access to the truth of Prosaic (and Mythic) History, he finds the Erased 500 Years to be of particular interest. His unkinder critics say his flare for romance and two-fisted action sometimes color his ostensibly historic renditions (such as Worm of Ultima Thule and Empire of the Stars!); there are those who lived through that vanished era, though, for whom such tales bring a hidden smile to the heart.

He is of large build, and has an air of restrained physicality about him. He, in fact, served in the merchant marine back in his youth, having run away from home on a lark. The facility he learned with his fists in those day stands him in good stead at academic conferences and science fiction conventions. His hair has receded a great deal, and is combed over in such a fashion as to be unclear whether this is vanity or simply the way his hair must be combed.

While not actually at the conference in question, numerous of his books are circulating around in paperback form, and are exceedingly popular amongst some of the Nobility.

The works of "A.C." Casey have proven critical to the following entries in the Lexicon of the Lost 500 Years:

An unprovable bit of scurrilous doggerel has been attributed to Mr. Casey, and he's threatened to sue (not to mention slander) anyone who actually cites it. Nevertheless, it has ended up being included in the lexicon:

He's also been responsible for initiating references to the following entries:

One of his greatest fans is Dave Hill.
