About six months back, we lost some folk off our crew: one who left (Jacen, the pilot), and one got took by the Black (Fix, our mechanic; our rock). Been a hard road since then; got tore up some, but held together.

''This is how it works out on the raggedy edge: find a crew, find a job... keep flying. We got a new mechanic at the first place we made planetfall after Fix... well, you know. Thought maybe that arrangement was temporary, but she decided to stay on when we got back to the Core.

The Companion traveling with us? Well, that's complicated. Life usually is.

We'll figure it out, or we won't. That's life, too.
