  1. That is so freaking key to the mindset in an HQ game. We’ve all grown up on D&D/D20 “failure means you’re lying on the floor bleeding out; do you have another character sheet ready?” Fear of failure means fear of action means fear of creativity. One doesn’t *do* something because the risk (death, and a simple, unheroic death at that) is so high.
    Must. Keep. This. In. Mind.
    Or, to put it another way: “Failure *is* an option … because it’s not really failure, just *redirection*.”
